Divorce Mediation in Bucks County

Many clients, over the years, have expressed there frustration with the adversarial system.  Acrimonious protracted divorce litigation leaves many families financially and emotionally exhausted at a time when they can least afford it.  Often the divorce litigation, and custody litigation has a devastating permanent emotional impact upon children.

For divorcing couples there is less expensive non-adversarial alterative divorce mediation. The parties meet with Mr. Lieberson
at his office and gradually work together to create a win/win result. The parties feel empowered by creating their own result,
a "custom fit," as opposed to the "off the rack" result frequently generated by litigation. Mediation will frequently take significantly less time and usually will cost substantially less money than protracted adversarial family court litigation.

Mediation is not for everyone – the parties must be able to work together towards resolution, and there must be full disclosure of all financial information.  It can be difficult at times, but a successful mediated result is almost always perceived by clients as a superior outcome.

Any mediated result will still need to be reviewed by separate counsel, but because the parties have not incurred litigation expenses and the expense s of two separate attorneys, mediation almost always ends up costing less, sometimes much less.  Mr. Lieberson bills his times as a mediator at the reduced rate of $250/hr.
